Horizon Energy Systems introduced the Hywings fuel system, which provides a 10-hour flight of a drone without refueling. The system is designed for hydrogen fuel, which is stored in a cylinder under pressure or produced by a special chemical cartridge.

The drone with an experimental fuel system is a remotely controlled drone with a fixed wing weighing 7 kg of hydrocarbon fiber. In the air, he can fly at a cruising speed of 55 km / h, make 500-kilometer flights, while maintaining gusts up to 30 km / h.

The useful load of the UAV is made up of a Hitachi HD video camera (60 frames per second with a resolution of 1080p), a thermal imaging camera FLIR and a multispectral camera for shooting Micasense Sequoia farmland.

The Hywings system exists only in the form of a prototype and nothing is known about mass production.
